I’m Boogie, but the good type?

In high school my first job was at Ponderosa Steak House. I started out as a buffet attendant and later would learn just about every position there except, management and grill. But those are tales for another day. Today, I’m going to tell you the story about my nickname Boogie. Which isn’t the best nickname but I’ve had it for so long its just one that has stuck…and only the people closest to me and my old “Pondo” crew have the privilege to me that. Plus it kind of confuses young children so I don’t want to use it too much. But then again, so does my dog named “Monkey”. That is another story for another time too. Back on track to this Boogie nickname business… basically what it boils down to is my last name, which is pronounced “AY-k-uh-l-b-er-g-er” but somehow people figured–Hey, that sounds like Boogie, or Booger. And now that’s my nickname and my nearest and dearest call me by it. I love it and I don’t love it at the same time. It is a confusing relationship, for both myself and young children. But, you can call me Boogie too if you want. Although, my real name is Amanda Eichelberger and I have been wanting to start my own blog for a good minute. So, today I decided I would!!! Somethings about myself:
-I love cooking and feeding my family delicious home cooked meals when ever I can. -During the week I stay at home with our little one and our five dogs. I’m a weekend warrior who slings food and cleans up tables–aka a server/waitress.
– I get my puppy fix by fostering puppies through Kentucky Humane Society (which is an awesome organization that you all should definitely check out sometime and see the different ways you can help).
-I have 5 dogs (we had 6 but our sweet Canyon crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this year) and 2 cats!
-I LOVE Dollar Tree and Goodwill!
-Crafting , Gardening and Bargain Hunting are my favorite pastimes, hands down, forever and ever, amen!!!!

I can’t wait to share all these amazing things that I love with you! Thanks for reading! And stay tuned for my next post. ( I added a music video that I think deserves to be one of my theme songs-ENJOY!)

-Boogie
